Commercial Director

Becky has been with Heart of England Mencap since 2015. Having begun her career within a Local Authority, she worked as part of a shared services project to streamline the finance operations across multiple authorities. Becky is also a founder of a dog rescue and rehoming charity, started in 2009, which became a CIO in 2019. Having continued to grow they are now obtaining a premises and have built a strong network of volunteers and supporters. Running a small charity from the start, being involved in fundraising events, grant applications, and managing on incredibly tight budgets, made her realise that she wanted to work for a not-for-profit organisation where the work would make a difference to people’s lives.
