COVID-19

We are ensuring we put everything in place to help keep the people we support and our staff safe during what continues to be a difficult time. This may mean we have to change the way we support people and how we co-ordinate our services. Please follow our our guidance below and we will keep this up to date with the most recent information we have.

Whilst restrictions have been eased, as a care provider, we remain committed to ensuring the safety of the people we support and the colleagues that work with us and that this is at the heart of everything we do.

Our approach to managing and maintaining the most effective infection prevention and control protocols will continue, and we are encouraging all our colleagues to continue to take personal responsibility and follow the guidelines that have been set out across the organisation.

Along with the national guidelines we continue to work with our local authorities to agree and follow the steps to start to ‘opening up’ our community services in a safe way, this will include:

  • continued use of appropriate PPE and reminding our colleagues of the importance of this in all our settings

  • aiming to keep staff groups working in ‘bubbles’ to prevent the risk of infection spreading

  • regular LFD testing and ensuring colleagues and the people we support have access to PCR testing where required

  • Following care home visitor guidance and the protocols to restrict the risk of infection including social distancing where we can in our community settings

  • Promoting continued and regular hand washing and safe removal of clothing in our care home settings

  • Review cleaning procedures and remain vigilant in this area, ensuring all items are cleaned between use

  • Responding quickly to any potential local outbreak and working with our commissioners and Public Health contacts

  • Continue to encourage our team members and customers to receive both vaccinations and support the autumn COVID-19 booster/flu vaccination programme

We continue to follow updated guidance in the different care settings we provide. Our teams remain aware that COVID-19 has not disappeared and they continue to support people with the commitment and dedication that they have already demonstrated throughout the pandemic.
