Celebrating Learning Disability Week, 2025
Every year, starting the third week of June is Learning Disability Week. This years theme is “Do you see me?” which is all about people with a learning disability being seen, heard and valued in all aspects of life.

I like to cook with Victoria. She makes me happy and she listens to me. We have good conversations!
If people didn’t listen to me I just think they’re ignorant. Everybody should be equal as we’re all the same inside.

People listen to me when I’m at my day centre in Warwick. It makes me happy and excited to come to Pathway and spend time with my friends. Staff ask us what activities we would like to do and this makes me feel included.
My mental health would really go down if I didn’t feel valued or listened to.

I wouldn’t feel good if people didn’t listen to me or they ignored me.
I think everybody should be heard because everybody has something to say.
We don’t have to agree on everything, and that’s okay. I just want to be valued as an individual.
