New Volunteering Adventures for Jon!

We are delighted to share some wonderful news about Jon, a long-standing member of Heart of England Mencap, who has recently secured a volunteer role at The Apple Farm, Snitterfield.

Partnership Paradise!

Jon and Charlotte’s first official meeting to talk through the exciting new role and the positive impacts working together will bring!

Jon has been participating in The Apple Farm for several years through the Move with ME – Community Activities programme. This initiative provides individuals with learning disabilities the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities that enhance health and well-being, develop skills, and build confidence through both indoor and outdoor experiences (at no cost!).

From the very beginning, Jon has stood out for his enthusiasm, stamina and genuine passion for farm work. Whether it’s picking apples, feeding the animals or watering the plants, Jon has always shown a natural talent and love for this environment.

Over the years, Heart of England Mencap and The Apple Farm have collaborated closely to develop inclusive and meaningful opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities. Jon's new volunteer position exemplifies the remarkable outcomes that can arise when organisations join forces to help individuals pursue their passions and reach their goals.

We are absolutely thrilled to see Jon take this next step. His dedication has been inspiring, and his new position is testament to his hard work, enthusiasm and to the supportive community around him.

Most importantly, it highlights the empowering possibilities that become possible when we emphasise ability, enablement, and collaboration.

Congratulations, Jon - we’re so proud of you, and we can’t wait to see you continue to thrive at The Apple Farm!
