Accessible cycling pedals into Stratford!
We are gearing up to launch a brand new accessible cycling programme in Stratford!
This exciting new venture is pedalling into town with an Open Day on July 22nd, with free sessions for anyone who wants to try out cycling on an adaptive bike.
It’s all been made possible thanks to the new cycling track, that is fully accessible, being built on the Recreation Ground as part of the Riverside Project led by Stratford District Council and Stratford Town Trust.
Celebrating such vital contribution
We hope you will join us in saying 'Good Luck' to our wonderful trustees and volunteers, nominated for recognition at the South Warwickshire Volunteer Celebration event, being held (virtually!) on July 13th.
Organised by Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA), it's a chance to recognise all of those who have continued delivering vital work as volunteers over the past 12 months, and really celebrating the impact that has.
Cooking up 'A Healthier Me'
Healthy living is top of the menu here at Heart of England Mencap, thanks to funding to support a new project.
We have received £3015 to be part of ‘A Healthier Me’ – a project spearheaded by Mencap nationally.
It’s all about promoting healthier ways of living and developing different ways to get this message to reach people with a learning disability.
