Let’s raise more smiles

Enjoy making a difference.

Fundraising is hugely important to our charity – and to the individuals we support. We really do value the help and trust our supporters put in us and, without their support, we couldn’t be there for over 200 local people with a learning disability.

As a small, local charity, money and resources limit us and it’s thanks to each and every person who fundraises for us or supports our charity and events, that we are able to offer so many opportunities, and raise so many smiles.

Gary Stokes is a great example.

He spent a day volunteering with us through his employer, National Grid. While helping out at our day service Pathway, Gary met and chatted to lots of our customers, who told him they were really keen to set up their own radio show. So, when Gary decided to take on a sponsored 40 mile run, he did it for us, raising the £1,500 we needed to get on the air. Thanks to Gary our customers now broadcast weekly on Welcombe Radio, as he saw for himself when popped in to the studio in Stratford so we could say thank you.

To see what my fundraising has actually made possible is just incredible, and not something you usually get to do
